Okay, I've got several rants today:First, does this organization scare the crap out of anyone else? I remember a conversation I had not too long ago about the whole oil for food scandal and Kofi Annan's family connection to that situation. I was told unequivocally that Sadam Hussein was a business man and we shouldn't fault him for trying to make a little dough. I wish I had something clever and logical to say to shut that down but, really, morality and human decency sort of does the trick for me. This site is interesting in relation to all this bureaucratic ballyhoo.
To combat the recent spate of unholy births here lately, I'm pleased to announce the Bob's daughter is a joy, Lizzie D is expecting and some old friends from the Bar Softball League here in town are about to have their second child. Thank God the world will be populated by more than little Damiens. I was worried there for a while...
And finally, I got my first mean comment posted to this here blog. Fantastic! You can see it just under this one if you read the comments section. You're nobody till somebody hates you. Angelina knows this is true. Here's the best part about it: apparently this person is not a fan but would indicate in their comment that they spend a lot of time discussing their assessment of my character with their friends. Um dude, go find something you like... I am, however, what this person (and I'm certain I know them because only someone who knows me could be gripped by such vitriol. I've been known to inspire this; and sometimes, given the person, really enjoy inspiring it...) says I am -- out of touch with reality, hypocritical and a flat-out liar. Next time have the stones to leave your name and we can discuss my therapy.

I am glad you enjoyed my comment. I did not think it was mean, just curious. I do not know you personally, I happened to come across your blog as I was posting my own. I read one post and enjoyed it so, I read a few more. I gather from your posts that we are about the same age, yet live very different lives. You appear not to be married, as you posted you've just moved into a house you purchased alone. You also do not appear to have children. So, I was just interested in seeing what my "peers" who are not married and don't have kids are thinking. This is what peaked my interest in your blog.
As I was reading through your posts I came across many hypocritical statements. First, you quote the bible often, yet use the lord’s name in vain. Next, your stance on abortion would indicate to me that clearly you’re a virgin, and if not do you simple choose which teachings to follow? Lastly, I would like to point out your post on your experimentation of drugs. Your church is okay with that? That is why I asked if you were a hypocrite or a liar.
FYI Britney Spears is not a peer as she is much too young at least six years, and 25 to 30 something is a life time.

It has been my experience that there is only one way to deal with people like this "Veronica" and their frothing-at-the-mouth pathetic self-righteousness: violent confrontation. In the same manner that the Lord threw the money-changers out of the Temple in righteous indignation, you must confront such fucked-up small-minded people and stomp the shit out of them. I believe you would be doing God's work.

I was however raised Catholic, and have studied the world's religions extensively. Secondly, I am a college graduate and not from some small, mail order degree program. I am sorry my sentence structure is not up to your standards but I was under the impression that this was informal forum. If this is a problem for you, I can adapt to your very professional and formal structure (sarcasm-though it seems it may lost on you). Next, I am absolutely not from the South, I am a native New Yorker and call the city home. I am actually quite offended that you thought I was some backwoods, redneck from Nashville. And just so we are clear...I DO NOT KNOW YOU! We have never met, and I did happen across your blog.
I am not a do-gooder, far from it. I could care less how you live your life unless it interferes with mine. I cannot stand people that are hypocrites. You ain't kidding Stel. Arguing with a moron is like arguing with a child. Each bastardization of the language, each inconsistent argument and each leap off the logical path only inflames the person who is quite right in arguing that, indeed, cartoons are make-believe. They will never get it. And they like the argument so that further precludes them from wanting to get it. There's a great saying -- "Never argue with a pig - you won't win and the pig enjoys it."
Does that sound appropriate right about now?
Here's the thing to reflect on -- this person is sooo insistent that they have never "attacked [me] personally" and yet, the original post clearly states their belief that I'm out of touch with reality. What a loving thing to say!
Further, after attacking personally, then denying the attack, this loser ..ah, um, person, makes it known that liars are despicable in her eyes.

You have a public blog, and should expect that people will read it, and perhaps comment on it. So, it is your blog and you can delete my comments, but someone may comment again, and what then, they will be small-minded, idiot, morons as well?
